Hi, i have a windows server 2003 ActiveDirectory domain, and a Linux RHEL4 (Fcore3) i need to join the linux machine to the active directory using authconfig or system-config-authentication when i use those the linux machine contact the windows server and create a machine account but cannot logon to the domain or use resources in the domain..i dont want to use the Samba i only want to use Authconfig so that the Pam authenticate from the kerberos and the domain and grant the linux machine a TGT to use resources in the domain. thnx

Anyway, When you login, ype the name of the domain followed by the winbind_separator character followed by the username.

Suppose my domain is FOOLAB, my winbind separator is + and my username is eglug, I'll login as:

FOOLAB+eglug

I was stuck for hours before because of this, Hope it'll work for you.
