عندي جهاز بنتيوم 2 كومباك قديم جدا رامات 4 هارد 1.5 بروسيسور مش عرف كام المهم عاوز احط عليه لينكس بس عاوز توزيعه خفيفه وما تكونش لايف انا عندي فيدورا 3 هل ممكن اسطب اسطوانه واحده بس ولا متنفعش للجهاز ده شكرا |

دا مش قديم بس
المشكله مش فى البروسيسور المشكله فى الرامات اللى عندك ... المفروض تزودها ل 64 على اﻷقل
كمان حجم الهارد اللى عندك صغير جدا.... ومش هتقدر تحط تطبيقات كتير
كمان أحسنلك تستخدم واجهه رسوميه خفيفه زى فلوكس بوكس أو اكس اف سى
المهم مش هينفع معاك غير سلاكوير لانه كويس جدا مع اﻷجهز القديمه
أو ممكن بالمواصفات دى الجهاز ينفع رواتر ممتاز وأحسن من أى واحد فى السوق بس يتظبط صح

Ok, sure thing you need to raise you RAM a littel bit. Can you afford 64MB of ram ? If yes then you can have Puppy Linux. It will run PERFECT on your pc because it was first desighned with old pc.s like yours in mind.

Haven't checked this but XUbuntu might also work. Also there is DSL Damn Small Linux. For more info about any of these two Distro.s please go to distrowatch.com.
Anyhow to run linux you need littel more Ram Please.

Anyway, In the router case you have the hardware and it's perfect to done the job now you need a linux customized to be a router and there is a great project called LRP, for more information I found amazed article in Linux Journal check it and it really will help you.
Linux thin client can act with both windows servers and unix-linux servers it uses different protocols for different cases but is windows xp become server nowadays ;)?!! ... googling and you will find moooore information :) .

الجهاز الي عندي ده بقى تحفه
لو اعرف انك بتحب التحف دي كده كنت مكسرتش الحاز البنتيوم1 الي كان عندي
بس ايه كان حاجه كده من ايام الطرابيش لما كان كارت الفاكس طوله حوالي 30 سم والبروسيسور الي فيه ممكن تموت بيه واحد
بس تمام الفير وول ده

اخيرا الينكس هنج كان نفسي اشوف المنظر ده من زمااااااااااان
التفاصيل بقى
جربت نسخه اسمها بوبي واحد شارك في الموضوع وجابلي السيت بتاعها بس مجربتهاش على الجهاز اياه
جربتها على الجهاز الي بستخدمه بنتيوم4 رام 256 المهم النسخه دي لاايف وحجمها خفيف جدا حوالي 80 ميجا بشغل اغنيه ولقيت عم الحج منطقش وسكن سكون الاموات في قبورهم
طبعا ده اول مسمار في نعش القائلين بان اللينكس مستقر
انا مش بهاجم ولا حاجه بس انا مبسووووووووووط من الي انا شفته

Not quite close enough,
Not quite close enough, AX170 was released 1983 and we’re talking 32K of RAM. How about (a fully functioning) VIC20 1980 with 4K of RAM! To play games on it, you had to type them line by line from the manual :)
