I think it's a good idea or us mods to maintain a public record of what gets unpublished, hence this forum topic.
I've unpublished the topic where the guy asked about news of the 3rd mobile operator opening up job positions; it didn't have anything to do with open source or linux.

you could do a view that
you could do a view that lists titles f unpublished nodes, this way we don't generate much noise, mods explain to each other why things get unpublished in the node or with a comment (only mods will be able to see it), and non-mods can check the list and ask if they feel they need info.
