I tried VirtualBox many times and it was great! Let us hope Sun Microsystems will survive...
Good bye or welcome back ?
How come to say good bye to M$ while i MUST have a windows CD (hence a license) just to try this ? Virtual machines do (like its name tells) emulate hardware, then windows (or any OS compatible with that HW) can be installed normally. on the other hand wine, cedega and crossover are are just "compatibility layer" like they call, that is a native software for Unix that mimic win32 API. (wine is free software, the two others are now proprietary). to be fair, i got interested in that seamless guest OS thingy, however, i don't have a windows CD (and don't plan to have in future), but may be someday i could succeed to run my pre-installed Vista from a virtual machine that support seamlessness. or simply trying it with a ReactOS CD, i know it wouldn't be any better than native wine since they share most their api code, but will not be much worse than windows itself.
