Mono develop works on gnome but not on kde

Salamo alikom,

I have ubuntu 9.10 and kde installed on the same machine I have installed the mono develop ide, I compiled it from the source and it runs great on gnome, but when I run it from kde, it doesn't work properly. and it wouldn't (make run) under kde... which worked normally under gnome.

Is there any (obvious) reason why this happens? It is not critical but I am curious to know if there is a why to make this work.

I managed to make it work on kde by running the bin file directly after compiling the source. On gnome, I test it using "make run", and then when things work normally, I "make install"... which both don't work... Anyway, I am glad that works in any way...
