"prtconf -v" output explanation needed

Dear all, Happy Eid isA I've a question about the output of the command "prtconf -v" How can I extract info about hardware and peripherals from it ?
i.e. Assuming server having sunOs 5.10 system I need to know the hardware configuration like disk and emc if any and the size
The desired info after reading the output of the command should be " 1 Sun-StorEdge 3320 and it’s for database /disk1= 273GB 2 Disks for system are mirrored = 146GB EMC storage= 600GB " How can I realize this info? And how can i read the output of "prtconf -v"?

Well thanks for your participation! I know it's a linux community for Egyptians! And As I know ,Unix os is the origin of Linux. It's not a crime to ask about some command related to unix here,as being an expert in linux means that you one day or another will deal with Unix(solaris,open solaris,etc...) And I think I chose "Forums » Tech Support » Miscellaneous" and from its definition: "Any technical support questions that don't fit the other categories." I decided to post here!
Anyway,I think I'm really mistaken to post my question HERE !

I would have answer your question if I knew what is it, anyway you shouldn't look for answers about non-free (as in speech) software in a LUG, really.

Linux is a UNIX like OS
Linux is a UNIX like OS while SunOS/Solaris is a UNIX based OS so UNIX is NOT the origin of Linux at all.
No one said it's a crime to ask here about Solaris/SunOS. It's just that you might not get a satisfactory answer.
Dealing with Linux doesn't mean that you have to deal with Solaris/SunOS. I never used Solaris and I doubt I'll ever use it but of course I'm not the only expert here.
The Miscellaneous section is for questions that won't fit the other categories but it doesn't mean that you should ask stuff related to windows for example!
And Solaris is not open. We don't support it.

Don't Worry,I understand your point of view. I know as a matter of fact that unix is not a free source nor open one!Also I know that you prefer to support open source stuff like linux distributions!
But,if you don't mind I'd like to put spot of light on linux origin and unix,and we won't talk about Windows as we all know how it was made ;)

So what I can say,Linux off course is not typically UNIX but Linus Torvalds wouldn't think of linux without Unix being existed. And according to :

When I said UNIX is the origin of linux,I didn't mean that linux is not UNIX like,I meant that it was in addintion the inspiring one!

When I personally check the definition of Linux, I won't check a commercial source, a training material or even the FSF website.
The FSF did not develop Linux. They developed parts of the userland which are being used in many - if not all - distros (GNU/Linux) but Linux itself is the kernel and it's not been done by the FSF.
Even the kernel.org website says: Linux is a clone of the operating system Unix, written from scratch by Linus Torvalds with assistance from a loosely-knit team of hackers across the Net. It aims towards POSIX and Single UNIX Specification compliance. : A CLONE.

As MSameer said, this is GLUG (GNU/Linux User Group), SunOS is not related to FOSS and is not a Linux distribution.
Besides, SunOS is obsolete since more than 10 years, and it is Solaris now, how about using OpenSolaris, eh?

Okay, if your boss insists
Okay, if your boss insists on using commercial software products, fine, he can do one or more of these solutions:
1- Recruit professional staff on such products.
2- Sends you to training courses and get certified.
3- Ask for support from the vendor/supplier.
4- Forget it and switch to FOSS.
In my opinion, the latter is easier.

You can ask our friends in Alexandria University OSUM which i'm pretty sure they will be interested to help you as they are a part of SUN somehow.
here you won't find a satisfactory answer. We here support Gnu/Linux for free cause we believe in it, and we want it to spread. Frankly speaking if I support propriatory stuff I wouldn't do it for free (though I don't know solaris anyway).
